- How does billing work?
- Starter and Pro are flat monthly subscriptions billed on the 1st of each month via Stripe. Enterprise is annual with a custom MSA. We accept ACH, credit card, and wire for Enterprise. No setup fees on any plan.
- Can I switch tiers later?
- Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from /settings/billing. Upgrades are prorated and take effect immediately (you only pay the difference for the remainder of the cycle). Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period so you keep paid features through the day you've already paid for.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Starter and Pro cancel at the end of the current billing period — no early-termination fees. Your data stays exportable for 90 days after cancellation. Enterprise cancellations follow the MSA notice period (typically 60 days).
- Do I have to replace my existing BMS? (BYO controllers)
- No. AiTBMS is purpose-built to sit alongside your existing controllers — Carrier WebCTRL, Tridium Niagara, JCI Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, or any BACnet/IP head-end. We read via licensed APIs (oBIX, eWeb SOAP, BACnet/IP) — no hardware swap, no rip-and-replace. The on-site edge agent is a small Linux process; it never modifies your control sequences unless you explicitly enable Tier-3 writeback (see below).
- Do you offer a multi-site / portfolio discount?
- Yes. Pro covers up to 10 sites at $1,200/mo. Beyond 10 sites you're on Enterprise — pricing scales with site count and includes a portfolio-level discount (typical 15–30% off list per additional site, depending on data volume + adapter mix). Channel partners (MSPs, ESCOs, energy consultants) get an additional partner discount under the Intelligent Group reseller program.
- Who owns the data?
- You do — always. Even on Free. We do not sell, share, or train external models on your operational data. You can export the full dataset (energy, faults, control history, audit log) as CSV / Parquet at any time.
- How does multi-tenant pricing work for MSPs and channel partners?
- Channel partners get the Enterprise tier with a partner discount and a white-label sub-domain. Each end-customer (Org) inside your channel can be on any tier — you control the rollup. Contact sales for the partner program.
- What does 'live BMS adapter' actually mean?
- Free / Starter run on a sample dataset — perfect for product evaluation and tenant-facing demos. Pro adds the Carrier WebCTRL connector (read-only via licensed APIs). Enterprise adds Tridium Niagara, JCI Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, and BACnet/IP via the on-site connector.
- What's required to enable closed-loop control authority (Tier-3 writeback)?
- Closed-loop writeback (the system writes setpoints back to your BMS without a human in the loop) is gated on TWO compliance prerequisites: (1) UL 916 listed control hardware on the writeback path, and (2) proof of Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance for the operating entity, naming Intelligent Group as a Certificate Holder. We require both because closed-loop writeback can affect occupant safety + comfort and constitutes a controls-engineering action under most jurisdictions. Most customers run in Tier-1 (advisory) or Tier-2 (human-approved) mode for the first 6–12 months before enabling Tier-3. Contact sales for the compliance pack and onboarding playbook.
